I am sure that everyone who took part
in Sports Day had an enjoyable day. Despite a damp start for the 1500m the
weather was kind to us and some people even went home a little sun/wind burnt!
There were some wonderful individual performances in which two new records were
set. Callum Glen (Lansdowne) set a new Year 8 boys’ high jump record of 1m53
(previously 1m35). Lauren Campbell (Fitzmaurice) set a new Year 10 girls’
triple jump record of 8m97. It really did turn into a team effort for the
afternoon for the final track and field events and the relays with everyone
supporting not only their house but also their friends in their tutor group.
A special well done to the following
pupils who entered a number of events and accrued valuable points for their
house and were individual champions

Palmer (F) and Shelby
O’Hagan (L)
Year 8 – Jamie Cooper (S) & Cathy
